I decided to make an Easter version of puppy chow with Easter candies. It was so much fun . . . & very addictive. I had to wrap it up quickly or I’d eat it all. I’m not kidding. These Easter treats are delicious.
This is another EASY treat to share on Easter.
In a large bowl, mix together Chex cereal and candies. You can use any Easter candies – m&m’s, robin eggs, jelly beans. It’s your choice.
Melt white chocolate chips and pour over the mixture.
To make pink puppy chow, pour red cake mix to make pink puppy chow. If you want a darker pink, use red candy melts instead of white chocolate.
I looked for a red velvet cake mix, but couldn’t find it. The strawberry cake mix gave a nice flavor to the puppy chow.
Mix together and you’ll have pink puppy chow. Gently stir together & be careful not to break the cereal. Set aside.
If you taste this, you might not stop eating it 🙂
Combine green & pink puppy chow. Add some more candies. Now, you’re ready to seve.
If you’re having a party, pour single servings of these Easter treats into small bowls. That’s what I did last Sunday. This was our Easter dessert appetizer 🙂
While my kids were growing up, we read specific Scripture during Passion Week. If you’d like our list of Easter Bible verses to read each day from Palm Sunday to Easter Sunday, just enter your email below. We’ll send it automatically to you.
