Last Friday, Steve left for opening weekend of deer season.
Last Friday, I left for the International Quilt Show with my mom, my daughter and her best friend.
I wish I had a photo of us at the Quilt Show, but forgot. Here’s one of my mom with my girls this summer.
And here’s another one of Ashley with her best friend, Leah. Both of them enjoy quilting and hope to design some patterns to share. They keep each other encouraged…in quilting and in life!
And finally our “future quilter” . . . Leah’s daughter joined us at the quilt show. She got more attention than any of the fabrics or kits 🙂
I have lots of projects to do in 2013. Take a look at what I bought.
I love the fabric I found at Adorn-It. That’s where I bought all the fat quarters I need for my quilt (an Abbey Lane design)
My favorite find was the Sticki Fabri-Solvy. If you don’t like tracing your design, this is for you. Put a Sticki in your copier and make a copy of your design. Then, rub it on to your fabric, like you rubbed fake tattoos when you were little. When you are finished stitching, throw it in the wash and the Sticki dissolves!
NO more tracing . . .
Of course, I realized I forgot a few things, so I got on Bird Brain Designs website and ordered what I was missing. Since I opened my rewards account, I had $5 applied to my online order…COOL!
I found this orange ric-rac to finish my pumpkin pillow. I bought the pillow kit 2 years ago at the Quilt Show and just now finished it. Hey, at least it’s finished.
What crafty projects are you working on?
