Steve & I visited Royalty Pecans last year and enjoyed a glass of wine on the back porch. They were having free wine tastings in August. We loved relaxing & looking at all the pecan groves.

While you’re out on your staycation, eat at one of the restaurants where kids eat free.
Blue Bell Creamery Tours
… in Brenham
This is a fun tour, that ends with a scoop of Blue Bell ice cream. Perfect end to a day!
Unfortunately, Blue Bell is not offering tours until the begin to manufacture ice cream again.
Have a Mother & Daughter Tea Date
I’d still like to visit this tea room. Maybe I can take my grand daughters…

Round Top Fourth of July Parade
We took our kids to this parade every year, since they were toddlers. They came home with a half-filled bag of candy every year. Our kids LOVED it!
It’s the longest, continuous-running parade in Texas.
One of my favorite Shakespeare plays is showing this year – Taming of the Shrew. Maybe I can talk Steve in to going 🙂
