Last Thursday, Steve turned 50 years old. He joined the 1/2 century group.
I wanted to do something special for him, but couldn’t decide what that would be. Until Thursday afternoon.
I decided to write “50 Reasons I love You”.
At first I was intimidated by it. Could I really think of 50 reasons? I “should” be able to do so. He’s been my husband for almost 28 years. But I wasn’t sure about it.
I started making my list and all of a sudden I hit the 50 mark…and I had more reasons to list. I guess I’ll save those for his 60th birthday.
He didn’t read the list until the next morning. After he read the list, he came over & kissed me. Then he told me how much he liked it, as well as saying “I guess doing the dishes ranks pretty high around her”. I listed that 3 times 🙂
But what made me feel good was he told me he appreciated all the thought that went into making the list.
Have you ever made a list of why you love your husband?
If not, start with 10 reasons! Try making a list of the Top 10 Reasons you love him. Then, share it with him. I know it will make a difference in your marriage.
If you need some ideas on how to love your husband, take the 30-Day Husband Encouragement Challenge. This is my third year to take it in February.

Thanks for sharing! My husband and I are having our 34th birthdays this month. I like this idea. I think I’m going to do this for him. 🙂
Happy Early Birthday!
