This blog post has been written for over a week, but I haven’t had a chance to share it with you.  WHY?  I’ve been putting the finishing touches on my book that’s going to print this coming month. Yep, Approaches to Christian Homeschooling will be available in paperback. I’ll keep you posted when it is available.  In the meantime, here’s another Easter activity with Easter crafts, Resurrection Eggs Printable & my Resurrection Rolls recipe.

On the second day of Bible school, we used Resurrection eggs as our Bible story. Abigayle passed out the plastic egg and let each child open their egg when asked. For each egg, Abigayle read the Scripture reference and told the story.  You can get your Resurrection eggs printable here.

Then, we worked on today’s memory verse: Romans 10:9.  After practicing the verse, we made a Holy Week Banner.

The kids can put the symbol on their banner each day of Holy Week.  As homeschoolers, you can have your kids make their own banner.  On each day of Holy Week, your kids can place the symbol on their banner. It’s the beginning of a discussion of each event of Holy Week.

For our snack, we had Resurrection Rolls. We demonstrated how to make these by wrapping bread dough around a large marshmallow. When you bake the rolls, the marshmallow melts, leaving a hollow hole like the empty tomb. If you want my Resurrection Rolls Recipe, you can get it here.

I let some of the kids look inside the roll to see what is in it.  Jordan said, “nada”, or nothing. Cristian looked & said, “Jesus”. We laughed and reminded him that Jesus was no longer in the tomb.  We discussed how Jesus is no longer dead, but alive. Then, we talked about worshipping a living God.Free Easter & Passion Week Bible Reading Plan
