Today, we celebrate President’s Day. Some of you may have taken the day off. If that’s the case, you can enjoy one of these Presidents Day activities for kids later this week.
Last year, Ashley was teaching first grade to at-risk kids. I volunteered at her school and plan a reading, writing & art activity. Here’s what we did.
1. I read The House that George Built to the class.
2. We discussed George Washington & what he did.
3. Each child wrote one sentence about George Washington. They copied it on the writing paper & glued it on to a red paper frame.
4. Each child made a paper plate art project of George Washington. I pre-cut the hats and writing paper.
