I recently finished Journey for Tobiyah, set during Israel’s captivity and immediately read another historical fiction for kids set during the Exodus.
When the 10 in 10 series had a post about book lists, I knew I would share 10 of my favorites – historical fiction for kids … set in Bible times. So, here’s my list in no particular order. I’ve included the title and the time period. Click on any image or title to read more.

Any suggestions for similar types of books for preschoolers?
Thanks for the suggestion. I’ll have to see what I have and share it with everyone
Exodus by Brian Wildsmith
It’s been awhile since I’ve read a Brian Wildsmith book. Thanks for the suggestion. I’ll have to read it to my grandkids.
Have you read the rest of the series to Jotham’s Journey? They are all excellent! We read a different one each year. And there’s one for Easter, too!
Yes, we read all the books in the series. Our favorite was Jotham’s Journey, the only one we read several times.
