I have homeschooled for 15 years now and I still continue to learn so much from Kerry Beck! This book is for not only the brand new homeschooler but the ‘seasoned’ educators like me. Approaches to Christian Homeschooling solidified my method of homeschooling and spurred me on in my homeschool journey.
I love the very practical helps and the Biblical worldview Kerry shares. She presents everything from how to implement a textbook approach to using the Charlotte Mason habit of dictation. This book offers a comprehensive guide to all the homeschooling approaches. And it is wrapped up beautifully with the encouraging three Rs for homeschool moms.

I was quite pleased to see how Kerry Beck laid out many considerations, options, and approaches to homeschooling with the perspective of an experienced and accomplished professional mother. With so many people now considering home education for the first time, this easy-to-read, well-organized, and supportive introduction to homeschooling will undoubtedly be a blessing to many. I can recommend it whole-heartedly!

Our year is off to a slow start. My son has begun dual credit classes and his focus is on those classes and not on the rest of the stuff we do at home. I know we’re going to have a lot of catch up to do, but I also think it’s important for him to get a good start in his college classes as well. I know he can do it, now he has to know he can as well.
Your son is at a perfect place to learn responsibility. And he’s still at home for you to come alongside him & help guide as he needs guidance. BE sure you let him work through this on his own to figure out organization & scheduling skills.
I hope you do another workshop. I’m trying to get all the information I can. I was planning on homeschooling next year but my husband wants to try another year in private school. I love the private school where he’s at right now, but it only goes to 4th grade. I’ve herd good and bad things from the new school he will be going to. If it happens to not work out I need to be prepared. I’m very nervous because my son is dyslexic and my spelling is not the best. I just know public school is not an option.
There’s so much I need to know about homeschooling. Like I said before, I hope you do another workshop because I won’t be able to make this one
