I found this cool 12 Day Holiday Countdown a few months ago & am excited to use it for the first time this month. Most holiday countdowns center around Advent.
This holiday countdown is different…it works with Thanksgiving, Christmas & Easter.
Take a look at what we’ll be doing during Easter.
We’ll use the countdown box with our Resurrection Eggs Lesson. Both have 12 items, but we’ll probably use the Resurrection Eggs as a recap.
Set the boxes so the numbers show. Get ready to pull out the box each day. This year, you’ll start on Wednesday, March 20th.
Be sure to grab the Easter tokens from their drawer. Put them in the right numbered box before March 20.
Each box has a puzzle piece on its side. Turn the right holiday out…each day.
Use the guide for your daily readings.
Pull out the token to see what symbol is on the front. If your kids can read, let them read the back.
Then, use the guide to read the verses and discuss the question of the day.
How about that? Absolutely NO Preparation is Needed!!!
Place the token back in its drawer. Place the box back in the puzzle so the correct holiday piece shows.
You’ll be working towards this puzzle by Easter morning.
Your guide fits in the back slot when you are finished. There are holes in the back in case you need help pushing a drawer out of its place.
We will use the 12 Day Holiday Countdown, along with our Resurrection Eggs Story. Both have 12 items to open.
What a fun way to teach your kids the truth of Jesus’ resurrection… I love the Easter Countdown. It’s so easy to use – Scripture Included & No Prep Needed!
The other reason I like this 12 Day Holiday Countdown is it’s on sale right now. You can get it for 1/2 price by clicking here.
I’ll be sharing some other ideas to prepare for Easter.
