We’ve had a great Christmas week, enjoying family and time together.
Our annual Christmas cookie baking on Christmas Eve afternoon. Even with our kids grown up, they all showed up to bake cut-out, sugar cookies.
Hunter & I visited Ashley’s 1st grade class to read & do a Christmas craft. We decided to read the Legend of the Candy Cane and make a candy cane craft –
the J candy cane, with a baby Jesus nestled in the curve.
Hunter also helped me with our Moms Day Out and making these cute Nativity Crafts out of candy. Hunter made all the stables and the kids made the (marshmallow) sheep, (gumdrop) shepherds, Mary, Joseph, (tootsie roll) horses and baby Jesus.
Steve & I watch the kids open their stockings…a relaxing & enjoyable morning.
We saw Hunter’s Christmas socks for almost a week. It seemed every time we turned around, he was wearing these socks.
We also enjoyed Christmas at my parents’ farm with the kids’ cousins.
For several years, I’ve wanted to start a puzzle over the Christmas holidays. This year we started a Van Gogh puzzle because I found a puzzle mat. When we finish working on it, we can roll it up and put it away until we want to work a little more.
These crescent pinwheels were such a hit at our Christmas party, I made them again for our family on Christmas afternoon. So yummy & easy !
